Hello Everyone!
How are you all doing? I am a little under the weather and hence feeling like a sloth! My skin is also playing a havoc because of the weather; first the extreme weather of the mountains and I landed back to torrid rains.. not my skins fault after all. So today, I have got these 5 really easy DIY Face packs for ALL (Yes, I mean ALL) your skincare needs ๐
Letโs first break down our basic skin care issues-ACNE/PIMPLES, TANNING/SUN PROTECTION, ANTI-AGING, SKIN GLOWING/POLISHING, PIGMENTATION. These are the usual questions that I get and I personally deal with as well. Sometimes dermatology clean ups really help (say once in 3 months, unless you can afford one every month!) but on other days these home remedies/ easy DIY face packs have kept my skin intact and maintained it till my next derm clean up ๐
5 Easy DIY Face Packs for ALL your Skincare Needs:
ACNE/PIMPLES:
Now these are my biggest enemies right now. I have been fighting with them but they keep coming back thanks to 1. Weather 2. Hormones 3. Ill health. Since there were hormones involved I kinda resorted to derm clean up and now will maintain it with these remedies.
Mix up neem powder, lemon juice, greek yoghurt and a little turmeric. Apply a thick layer as a mask and leave it on for one hour. Wash it off normally and pat dry ๐ This will prevent the acne bacteria from forming. and will slowly settle your current acne.
Best Spot treatment: Dabbing a little tea tree oil on existing acne. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING TEA TREE OIL.
TANNING/SUN PROTECTION:
Mix tomato pulp with little organic honey and pinch of turmeric. Apply as a face mask for 45 minutes and remove it as a face wash. Rub your skin with the mask (as you wash your face with a face wash) and then splash water - pat dry.
Tomatoโs acidic content helps remove tan and gives a great extra sun protection. It also helps build collagen in your skin.
ANTI-AGING:
Now nothing will magically vanish those wrinkles away (except botox and stuff like that) but this will definitely slow down your aging and make your age gracefully ๐ Mix egg whites with cooked oats (cooked in milk) and apply as a mask. Keep it on for 30 minutes (NO Facial expression when the mask is applied please!) and wash it off ๐ for VEGETARIANS Mix oats cooked in milk with some mashed banana (yeah make a breakfast porridge!) and slather generously on your face. Keep it on for 45 minutes and wash it off. Remember to moisturize your face after ward.
SKIN GLOWING/POLISHING:
Polished skin cannot be achieved without a good exfoliated/buffed skin. Hence exfoliation is must. This is 2 in 1 DIY (scrub+face mask) and will help you achieve glow and clean skin. Mix papaya pulp, pine apple juice, raw organic honey and powdered sugar (Cane sugar is best). Scrub your face mildly but properly for a minute. Leave on the mask for 20-30 minutes and wash it off. I guarantee you will feel softer immediately. Pine-apple juice is important, if you donโt have skip it but the softness will be reduced.
PIGMENTATION:
One of the most common yet severe issue is pigmentation. Highly difficult to tackle depending on the reason/depth of it. If it is superficial then only can pigmentation be treated with home remedies.
Mix greek yoghurt, licorice powder, cooked oats and apply as a mask. Leave it on for 1 hour and wash it off. This is a slow but effective process.
Thatโs it! I hope these easy DIY face packs recipe comes of use to you and you find it effective. Any specific recipes that you vouch for? I would love to discuss on that ๐
Lots of love and light,
