Acne Face Map: Know the root cause of your acne

Hollaaaa Everyone!

You know this once in a month acne here and there really annoys me! but after studying face mapping I was introduced to a whole different world of the root cause of Acne. If you want to heal your acne completely and not only topically then you must read further 🙂

What is face mapping?

Acne Face Map-Face mapping is a chinese way to analyse your skin and find the root cause of your acne. Also known as ‘Mien Shiang’, Chinese practitioners believe that when your skin is acting up; it means something is not right inside you as well. There are point and zones on your face that are related to other organs in our body. Depending on the location of the acne one has to treat internally as well. I personally love the science and the idea behind this, besides it being interesting you can really clear up your skin if you understand this concept well 🙂

Now let’s dig deep and take the above image as an example.

Zones 1 and 2: This area is affected by your immune system and is also related to your digestive system. If you see an acne in this area, slow down on processed foods and junk food. Reduce the amount of fat in your diet.

Solution: Drink plenty of water and Green tea to remove toxins from your body. Eat hydrating and cool fruits and vegetables like cucumber and watermelon.

Zone 3: This area is related to your liver. If you see acne here it means something is wrong with your liver (some imbalance). This also the zone where food allergies show up first so do keep a check on your ingredients when you see a zit there.

Solution: Cut on alcohol, smoking, greasy food and dairy. Ensure to do mild exercises atleast 30 minutes a day and get some good night’s sleep to rest your liver.

Zone 4 and 5: This area is related to our kidneys. Anything around our eyes even dark circles point to dehydration.

Solution: Drink, drink and drink is all I can say!

Zone 6: This area is related to your heart, so anything wrong in this take utmost care!

Solution: Check your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Decrease intake of pungent, spicy foods and replace the ‘bad fats’ in your body with ‘good fats’ like omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. (flaxseeds, fish, avacado). Make sure you are getting enough Vitamin B and consume less salt.

Zone 7 and 8: Same as 4 and 5… DRINK UP! 😀 (WATER)

Zone 9 and 10: This denotes an imbalance in your respiratory system

Solution: Cut down on sugar and get more pure fresh air. Keep your body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body more acidic (avoid: coffee, meat, dairy, sugar) Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Also change your pillow covers often and clean your cell phones.

Zone 11 and 12: This is the signature zone for stress and hormonal changes. The solution for this is difficult as hormonal changes are as such avoidable, though there are a few things that you can take care of. Did you know breakouts in this area also shows when you are ovulating and on which side!

Solution: Get adequate sleep, eat fresh vegetables-green leafy vegetables and fruits. Follow your CTM religiously.

Zone 13: This zone is related to stomach.

Solution: Keep your stomach clean by drinking green tea to flush out toxins and drink adequate amount of water.

Zone 14: Zits or acne here can be a sign that your body is falling ill or fighting with some kind of bacteria to avoid illness.

Solution: Rest well, do mild exercises like Yoga and drink plenty of water.
