Apple cider

Happy Friday you all! It’s my last working day today at my office. I am soon joining another company, and the anxiety is kicking in! Anyway, today I decided to talk on my newly incorporated ingredient - Apple Cider Vinegar. After, reading tons and tons of awesome reviews about this, I decided to use this more often and check the results out.

Apple cider vinegar, is made by fermenting apple cider. Cider is an unsweetened, non-alcoholic beverage made from apples. Apple cider is one of the oldest remedies on earth. This golden vinegar, is not only good your health but offers tremendous benefits for you skin and hair too. Due to its alkaline nature, it is a boon for your body (but definitely not your tongue).

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for Hair:

  • One of the most common, natural homemade hair conditioner used is ACV.
  • The benefits of apple cider are attributed to the nutrients in it. It includes potassium, calcium, Vitamin A, B1, B2, C and E. these nutrients are responsible for hair strengthening and growth when you drink diluted apple cider daily.
  • Applying the diluted apple cider vinegar does wonders to you hair. It adds shine and makes your tresses look healthy and gorgeous. But ensure you are diluted it properly else it will weaken your hair and make it fragile. 1 part ACV should be mixed with 5 parts water.
  • It removes buildup and closes cuticles, thereby acting as the best natural conditioner.
  • It also prevents scalp infection by improving blood circulation. Since it controls infection, dandruff also stays at bay when used this as a treatment.
  • Because it adds nourishment to your hair. It makes your hair smooth and healthy.

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for Skin:

  • Apple cider has AHA‘s that slough off dead skin cells and reveal fresh bright skin
  • Because of its exfoliation properties it also has the capability to lighten your scars/dark spots
  • It has amazing astringent properties, making it one of the best natural toners you can create πŸ™‚
  • Apple cider is also anti-bacterial, keeping acne at bay. I have personally tried this and it works really well.
  • Infact, if you have smelly feet, just spray some ACV and the smell will vanish!
  • Sunburn? No problem, we have ACV to your savior. It can soothe the pain and speed up the healing process.

A few important notes when using Apple Cider:

  1. ALWAYS Ensure you mix it with filtered water and bring the acidity level down. It is highly acidic and using it raw may disrupt the acid mantle on your skin, making it very fragile.
  2. Try and get your hands on Apple Cider with mother, it is raw and unfiltered
  3. You can do a Ph test before using it on your hair and skin. The Ph should be between 5-6. Here is an article giving you details on how to check Ph of your products. It’s a must read, incase you have missed it!

That is it! Hope you all have a great weekend ahead. Wish me luck for my new job from Monday πŸ˜€

Love to you,
