Aroma Essentials Carrot Sunblock SPF 30 Review

I am back from a beautiful trip to the wonderful land of Himachal.. I think my soul belongs to the mountains. Anyway, major withdrawal symptoms are going on and I am trying to cope up with my routine city life! Anyway, coming to the review today; I am sure all of you know the importance of a sunscreen by now. I gave a try to this 100% organic sunscreen by Aroma Essentials. Let’s see how well this has fared 🙂

Aroma Essentials is the brand from “Namma Bangalore”. Helmed by the lady with a decade long experience in the field of natural skin care, Mrs. Madhurima Ramakrishna, Aroma Essentials sells all over India and even in some foreign countries. . She was sweet enough to send me a few of her products and the ‘Carrot Sunblock’ was a part of it.

Price: INR 300 for 35 Grams and INR 150 for 20 grams

MY EXPERIENCE WITH AROMA ESSENTIALS CARROT SUNBLOCK:

The carrot sunblock by Aroma Essentials is 100 percent natural and suitable for normal to dry skin types. It has SPF 30 which is not enough for me but I still wanted to try a natural sunscreen and I’m glad i did it! The feel of this sunscreen is EXCELLENT! It kind of slightly moisturizes your skin and leaves no oily feeling and sinks right into the skin. Makes a perfect base for my BB Cream as well.

The quantity initially looked really less to me but then the product spreads well making it last decent. Additionally, this does not leave any white cast or any kind of heaviness on your skin. I had used this in summers and it did not cause any kind of trouble or breakouts.

Packaging: It comes in a tiny tub and a sunblock and mfg. are all hand written on it. I somehow like that cause it just makes my trust deeper on such handmade brands. The tub can cause issues if you have long nails as the product might get inside your nails. But i’m quite OK with the packaging. Nothing fancy but nice and sturdy. It also easy to carry around!

Coming to the protection part, well as mentioned SPF 30 for India is too low according to me and for my skin. So I have never used this alone as a sunscreen I used this first on my skin and then layered another SPF 50 sunscreen. Initially for trial sake I did use it as it is and I think it performed pretty well.

Pro’s of AROMA ESSENTIALS CARROT SUNBLOCK:

Natural Sunscreen free from cancer causing ingredients
Does not leave your skin oily
Acts as a mild moisturizer and absorbs very well in the skin
Lasts pretty long
Has SPF 30 which could be enough for winters

Con’s of AROMA ESSENTIALS CARROT SUNBLOCK:

No ingredient list mentioned (one of the biggest con) - But once you talk to her this won’t be a problem; there’s a trust factor that crops up almost immediately 🙂
SPF 30 is too less for me
Price could be an issue for some (But a 100 percent natural sunscreen is worth every penny spent)
