For me it’s great if I’m going out on the weekend and terrible if I have to go to work :/ Anyway recently my most used and greatly appreciated brand Aura Vedic sent me two of their products for review purpose. (Yipee) From the MANY products that I have used from this brand; I had missed out on the Aura Vedic cleansing Ubtan mask.

It was totally love at first sight when I read the ingredients. So how do you think it fared on me? Are the ingredients mixed effectively? Read on..

My Experience with Aura Vedic Ritual Cleansing Ubtan Mask

As mentioned earlier, I was totally in love with the ingredients. When I first received this product with their skin lightening oil (review will be up after testing 🙂 ) I was SO excited to try it; that I opened up both the products on the same day 😛 After using this for sometime now; I felt its a good time to review.

Aura Vedic calls this as a cleansing ubtan mask; very rightly said, it is one of the BEST natural cleaners I have used. Did I spill the beans too soon? 😛 OK let me tell you how does this work. Even though this is an ubtan (face wash) they guide us to apply, leave it on for sometime and then wash it off for a clean skin. What I noticed is; this works best as a face mask. I usually add rose water and apply it as a face pack; after 15 minutes, I splash some water and start scrubbing for a minute before washing it off completely.

It leaves your skin squeaky clean and gives you a subtle glow (I think it is because of turmeric). But if you have to use this everyday then its better you use it as an ubtan and wash it off after 5 minutes. As I have dry skin I use this once a week as a detox mask. Other days I have my homemade facial ubtan that I use. But after that gets over, I have a perfect replacement.

In terms of packaging it comes in a plastic jar so that you have enough room to take the product out. The claims of radiant glowing skin cannot be denied, but remember this is a natural product so you need time. Yes it does leave your skin clean with a subtle glow, but nothing that will amaze you. But then again, I feel its a great product for the list of ingredients added in it.

• Can be too drying (but you can always add honey it it) so nothing that cannot be taken care off
• Some might find the smell too ‘herbal’
• You need a spoon to remove the product for Hygiene purpose

Over All Rating: 5/5 (Honestly the Con’s were just for the sake of it, there’s nothing really bothersome)

Last Words:

This is a really good product for people who are not too fond of DIY’s or are just plain busy. Its a great product when you want to add a dose of nature in your skin care regimen. Totally worth buying! 🙂
