BON BIO ORGANIC & NATURAL SUNSCREEN LOTION - REVIEW

Organic sunscreen is a task to find, since they usually come with low SPF protection. However, using an organic sunscreen at least assures you that you are using something that is good for your skin:) I’ve usually had hard time in finding out an organic sunscreen that suits me. Come with me to find out about this one!

Bon Organics (Bio organic and natural) is an organic brand based out of south India, Auroville. Our BON team is dedicated to serve for a healthy humanity and is taking little steps to save the environment by aiming stop soil and water pollution.

Anyway I wanted to purchase their Aloevera gel (shall be reviewed soon) but of course ended up buying a few more things; out of which this sunscreen is one 😀

This organic sunscreen contains Zinc Oxide, the safest sunscreen ingredient on Earth, among the other organic ingredients. The resulting lotion is a sunscreen with an SPF of 20 which is suitable for daily activities. This elegant craft is a 100% Handmade Body Lotion.

Ingredients:

Directions: Apply required quantity of Bio Organic & Natural’s Sunscreen lotion on the to-be-exposed areas of the skin about 5-10 minutes before going out in the sun. For better results, it is recommended to follow up with the application of Bio Organic & Natural’s Aloe Vera Pure gel after sun exposure to enhance the skin repairing effect.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH BON BIO ORGANIC & NATURAL SUNSCREEN LOTION:

This sunscreen comes in a simple easy to use and squeeze plastic bottle with SPF 20. As almost all organic sunscreens there is no mention of PA rating 🙁 I have been using this sunscreen since past 1 month now, and I am really liking the texture. In terms of sun protection, it does a decent job. But you cannot just apply this once or else you are sure to get tanned. Yes, there is no mention of ‘broad spectrum’ which is VERY important to cover from UVA rays (responsible for aging), but since the active ingredient here is ZINC OXIDE there is not much to worry 🙂 Zinc Oxide physically blocks sun and not chemically. Also, it protects both against UVA and UVB :). So if you talk about organic sunscreen’s then this is hands down the best one!

I have used this on my face and hands, and it sinks into my skin leaving it soft and protected. It has not broke me ouT and is also not oily. The texture is very smooth and the consistency is a bit runny, but that helps the sunscreen to be spreadable.

Fragrance: Since the sunscreen is a mix of Ylang Ylang and Lavender it does smell like it. Smell can be overpowering initially, but it settles down soon.

With the mix of ingredients given, this sunscreen is a great buy if you are an organic products lover.

Well absolutely! It is the best organic sunscreen I have used. Plus, the trust factor associated with this brand is high 🙂
