I have been looking for that perfect organic tinted lip balm, ever since I have tried the Burt bees tinted lip balm. Though you do get Burt bees here, but it’s damn expensive for a lip balm. (INR 1300-1500!). I don’t apply lipstick daily, but I do need a slight color on my lips everyday at work. As soon as I got to know about this lip stain, I immediately purchased with a hope that this would be the answer.

My Experience with BON Organics Lip Stain:
I actually wanted to order the pink one but I thought it would be very mild; so I decided to go for the strawberries one. It is more of a cherry red so don’t get confused like me. I am not a fan of this shade, since I like it as natural as possible and my lips are naturally pink so I prefer something pink. However, I soon grew fond of the shade 🙂
I really had super high hopes with this one, since it really does impart color. But as a lip balm it failed my expectations. Then I realized it’s a stain so expecting it to be moisturizing is not right. Giving it another chance, I wore this in the morning before leaving for work, trusting it completely. As soon as I reached office, I went to the washroom to check, to my horror, the lip stain had sinked into every crack that I have on my lips and the worst, it had all gathered inside my lips, making me look like I’ve been eating Pan since I don’t know how many days! 🙁
I then tried it over my handmade lip balm which is ultra moisturizing and scooped out a little product with my nail and then spread it properly, ensuring I have applied equally everywhere, like literally painting. I saw it worked fine. But it still did settle down and rather because of the moisturizing lip balm, it did not stay for long.
Eventually I tried this a cheek stain and boy, it worked beautifully. Love the natural pink hue. Not super long lasting but works really well 😀
Packaging: I don’t usually prefer a jar for lip balms since I like to re-apply and then using fingers gets messy. But since this was tinted I gave it a try.
Fragrance: If you like strawberries, you might want to eat this! It smells amazing and exactly like strawberries.

Do I recommend BON Organics Lip Stain ?
Well you can try and see if it suits you or no. But worth buying as a cheek stain 😛 I really wanted to to try the pink color one (Roses) but I am scared the texture might be the same :(. Still tempted to buy, coz of the strong pigmentation it gives. Because imagine that rosy pink stain on your cheeks? Love.
But as a lip balm.. Disappointing.
