Ever wondered why is your skin looking dull, even though you take care of it every single day? Ever wondered why suddenly certain areas on your skin are turning grey and your eyes sunked in; even after an expensive session at a dermatologist? Well the ONLY answer for this is STRESS.
Stress can really create havoc on your skin, hair and trust me your have no idea how negatively it can affect your body. Stress causes a chemical response in your body that triggers many skin problems. It aggravates rosacea, acne, itching, sensitivity, bumps, dullness, aging; you name it and it is there! A lot of skin issues actually arise from stress. Already stressed after reading this? π Having said that, stress is an inevitable part of our life, but it is really important on how your handle it.
Since last 1 week I was under tremendous stress, you know a phase where nothing is working your way. Guilt, work, relationships; when all of this rises up, you are bound to feel stressed. I would starve myself by eating late and not take care of my skin making it worse. In as less as 2 days, I got 1 pimple, I saw my skin getting dull, my eyes are still sunked in! I knew this was not right, and hence I decided to take charge. Though my husband is a super sweetheart and heβs always around me and there for me but sometimes in life it is only you, who can get yourself back up π
Moments like these are very common, but here are a few ways that can help you deal with stress in a better way and you can heal your self completely.
Dealing with Stress:
1. ACCEPT AND LET GO:
Well you know why you are stress right? So accept that and learn to let go. If stress is because of guilt, accept your mistake and swear to NEVER repeat it again. Apologize to people you have end up hurting and earn them back. It is that simple! The moment you accept your mistake or the situation you are half done. Tell yourself this is the situation and that it shall pass. Have faith and then let it go.
2. EXERCISE OR ANY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
Involve yourself into any physical activity. Exercise or even sex release the happy hormones in your body and will have a long lasting effect on you. Keep yourself involved in dancing, running or working out and you will feel the difference.
3. PRIORITIZE YOURSELF:
Not everyone around will feel you. In moments of guilt, it may be worse! But please ensure you prioritize yourself and take care. Stick to your skin and hair routine. In fact prepare some relaxing masks and apply while you rest. Breathe and let go off all the negativity. Wash off your face and end it with a nourishing moisturizer. It will take 45 minutes max and you will love how you feel after it.
4. REST
Get some rest. Your mind, body and soul needs rest at this time. Sleep well and meditate. Resting is like healing, when you are sleeping your body is healing itself. Love yourself to the fullest and sleep like a bay.
Life is not gong to be an up ride always, but when you have faith and when you love yourself immensely, you will start afresh always π Worry not; its not the end of the world! <3
