I finished using my facial oil - recipe here and this time I decided to focus on removing 2 pimple marks that I have (now very light) and anti-aging since I will be entering 30 soon. This really easy to make oil has been a constant guide and I love it to the core.

While I am a believer of natural skin care, facial oils scared me, so I always made sure to alternate it with my other dermatology recommended products. While the switch to 100% natural is always a constant struggle since these experiments can create a havoc on your skin, this oil has been a success and I love how well it works and most important, does not break me out!

I have kept it simple and used only 3 oils (coz I was lazy :-p) and also because these 3 oils have never let me down, and I can guarantee it will not let you down as well. The best thing about this oil is that it is great for acne prone skin as well since we have grapeseed and turmeric πŸ™‚

My Current Facial Oil:

Ingredients Used:

  • Grapeseed Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Pomegranate Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric essential oil - 15-20 drops

Mix it all well and fill it in a ‘GLASS’ dropper bottle. Also, while adding turmeric; first add 10 drops and ensure it is not staining, since turmeric can be strong. So keep checking and then add more drops.

Why is this DIY Facial Oil so useful?

  • Grapeseed oil is known to prevent stubborn acne, lighten your acne scars, tone and make your skin firm and a great aid in preventing wrinkles. It is also known to restore collagen and diminish circles around your eyes! It is filled with anti-oxidants and skin brightening Vitamin C. I hope now your are convinced! This oil is really magical.
  • Pomegranate oil is also a gem for aging skin. The regenerative properties of Pomegranate makes it an indispensable ingredient in skin care. Pomegranate oil contains many vitamins and anti-oxidants and is great to fight free radicals, improves the texture of your skin, suitable for all skin types, also good for irritated and sensitive skin and treats wrinkles. Combine this with grape seed oil, and you have a killer combination for all skin types.
  • Turmeric as we all know, is known for skin brightening and is an anti-bacterial. I like how bright my skin gets with the use of turmeric oil. I have never used turmeric oil earlier, but when I saw this online I immediately bought and do not regret it at all.

The best thing about this facial oil is that it can be used by all skin types and any age group. Also, since these are oils; storing them is not an issue at all!

I usually buy all my oils from Soulflower but this time I tried Moksha Lifestyle products. I find them just about ‘ok’ in quality and would not be buying from them again. I may try Juicy Chemistry as well since have been reading good things about the brand! where do you buy your essential oils from? Any suggestions?
