I had recently visited my favorite store - Forest Essentials, and as always went mad there. Since there are limitations on the products you can purchase from their store (Thanks to the super high price tags) I picked up this scrub only. I am so much in love with this brand, the whole feel of it is mind blowing. But I must say they have been hiking their price a little too much! I mean every few months I see the prices are hiked! I remember buying their eye cream for 950 bucks 2 years back and now it is 2200 Rs! It is already an expensive brand and the price hikes make it difficult for people like me, who save up to buy that one product; only to realize they are costlier than before :/
Product Description:
Derived from the unique Fal Yukth Gharshan Lep, this facial scrub uses a variety of fruit with exfoliating properties along with other natural plant extracts. These ingredients are fermented by placing them in terracotta jars buried under the ground for many months, and then blended with herb, root and flower infusions to create a highly nourishing and deep cleansing scrub.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH FOREST ESSENTIALS HAND POUNDED ORGANIC FRUIT SCRUB
So I started using this on the very same night and I was generous enough to give a try to my husband also (That’s coz poor guy had to literally see my mental dance :lol:) Anyway, so my first impression was good; a normal scrub that made my skin clean and definitely not dry. However, I started keeping this scrub for 5-10 minutes on my face as a face pack to ensure proper absorption of all the goodness of ingredients. Later, scrubbed it mildly and washed it off. It made my skin glow and really soft! 🙂
This scrub is more like a skin polish. It acts as a wonder full buffer and lifts up your skin and mood. I usually do this at night, and after the scrub apply my moisturizer and switch to sleep mode. It usually gives a nice glow the next day and I have seen my products work better; probably since they have a buffed canvas now 😀
Texture: This is not a very mild scrub and not too harsh. However one needs to be mild while scrubbing. The granules are perfect for a little harsh pressure on the nose area. It is a thick scrub and needs to be diluted; hence I always use it on wet face.
Fragrance: It smells strongly of date and fermented fruits. Kind of an overripe smell. Nothing too strong so it won’t bother anyone.
Packaging: All the products of Forest Essentials come in a very attractive and beautiful packaging. This ain’t different as well. It comes in a glass jar; with a golden lid. It also comes with a wooden spoon so it gets hygienic.

Will I recommend FOREST ESSENTIALS HAND POUNDED ORGANIC FRUIT SCRUB to everyone?
Well there’s not doubt that it is a great product. But it can be an expensive buy for many. There may be dupes in the less expensive ayurvedic brands like Auravedic and Biotique. But I think it is worth spending the bucks since it really works well and somehow there is a trust that comes with this brand. 🙂
