I really like this festival coz of the beautiful lights and colors all round 😀 About 1 month ago I opened this sunscreen from Forest Essentials; that was lying in my stash. I was immediately smitten by the oh so lovely fragrance. But did this work as a sunscreen? Well, please read 🙂
Forest Essentials is a well known brand ofcourse,, but I didn’t know they had sunscreen until my Mom-in-law gifted me this for my birthday back in March. I did not open it then as I had a lot of sunscreens to finish up. Also, to be honest I was skeptical of using this on my face, since there is no mention of SPF! So I started using it on my hands and slowly on my face as well.
Product Description:
These superbly daytime moisturizers create an ideal environment for stressed skin. They offer protection UV rays, free radicals and dryness, leaving skin soft and hydrated. I can’t seem to be finding this on their website now!
Price: Not mentioned since it was a part of the gift set that they keep.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH FOREST ESSENTIALS SUNSCREEN LOTION-ALOEVERA & SANDALWOOD:
I opened this small bottle and the first whiff took me to an amazing place in my head. The fragrance of mysore sandalwood is so pure and not overpowering at all. I immediately knew I will have a good relationship with one 🙂 But as there was no SPF mentioned I was and still am skeptical to use it as a sunscreen for my face. I have almost finished this white lotion and am totally in love! I have used this for my hands for the most part and a little bit on my face as well.
Packaging: Typical FE packaging of transparent and gold. Looks lovely and is easy to use and carry around.
Texture: It is a semi-thick, kinda runny lotion. That absolutely seeps into your skin; leaving NO trace behind.
It’s been over 1 month that I have been using this every single day before stepping out. The fragrance makes my mornings fresh and the lotion makes my skin feel soft 🙂 However, let me warn you dry skin beauties; that it might not be enough for you especially during winters. But usually for me, I prefer something lightly moisturising when I am stepping out, to avoid attracting dust.
As much as I love this, I am still skeptical about its efficiency as a sunscreen. I am aware that Aloevera is a good natural snscreen, but is it enough for Mumbai heat? I would personally prefer a proper UVA and UVB protection suncreen for me.

Pro’s of FOREST ESSENTIALS SUNSCREEN LOTION-ALOEVERA & SANDALWOOD:
- Fragrance takes you to a lala land!
- The consistency and the texture is PERFECT.
- ORGANIC and FREE of all the evils
- Makes skin soft
- Works great as a day lotion
Con’s of FOREST ESSENTIALS SUNSCREEN LOTION-ALOEVERA & SANDALWOOD:
- No SPF! I do not trust a sunscreen that does not mention SPF protection details
- Since it’s FE i am assuming this would be pricey
Would I recommend this?
YES if you are looking for a light lotion that will make your skin soft. Not sure as a sunscreen 🙂
