Happy World Environment day! On this day I am going to introduce you to a wonderful place and someone who really cares for the environment and your beauty.

If you remember I had mentioned in my post here that my last weekend was AMAZING! So today I am going to share my Sunday experience. In one word? ‘HEAVENLY” read on to reap the benefits of nature.

Last Sunday I met my inspiration DR. Nirmala Shetty. I was invited for a divine experience and was SO excited to meet her. This graceful and beautiful lady was so warm and welcoming that I immediately felt at ease when I met her. Let me first tell you something about her and her venture-Nirmal Herbals.

Dr. Nirmala Shetty started her venture ‘Nirmal Herbals’ in 1992 based out of Chembur. It was her childhood passion that transformed her hobby to an idea, a unique brand Nirmal Herbal that aims at Healthy and Beautiful Skin & Hair. She stands out of competition in the beauty industry as Nirmal Herbal is one of its kinds to use pure organic food as a Cosmetic. Her Idea to spread beauty through food soon won her many accolades.

Today she has various outlets at Chembur, Bandra, Powai, Parle and Mulund. She has also officially treated Miss India International and Miss India World for their hair and trained them to pursue natural products made at home. To know more you can visit her website Nirmal Herbals.

First Look - Nirmal Herbals:

Dr. Nirmala Shetty was so generous that she gave me an opportunity to try out her Hair Spa, Facial and a Mini Pedicure.

The moment I entered Nirmal Herbals, I felt the positive vibe through her lovely staff. They offered me a glass of water which was served in a copper glass (WOW) and made me feel at ease. Then I met the doctor and we had a good time together. She spoke about her passion, her concerns and her vision. All this while, all I was thinking was that man she is living my DREAM LIFE! I even told her that 😛

She made me fill up a form that consisted my basic details and also checked incase I had any allergies, concerns or specific issues. Thereafter she suggested a hair spa and facial for me to her staff and off I was to have a divine experience!

My Experience of the Services at Nirmal Herbals:

Hair Spa at Nirmal Herbals:

Once I was given clothes to change and made comfortable. Her qualified assistant started massaging my hair with fresh coconut milk. After about massaging for 5 minutes she then massaged my hair with a spacial oil prepared by the doctor. All this while she was telling me the benefits of each and every ingredient present on the plate.

Then came a nice drip of fresh Aloevera Juice on my scalp, additionally a dry fruit paste was massaged as well. Then came the turn of Hibiscus pulp massage and methi seed paste massage. All this took about 45 minutes since each and every ingredient was massaged really well into my scalp and hair. Finally every strand of my hair was covered in Avocado and Papaya paste/pack and a shower cap was put on my hair.

I was then taken for the facial, since the hair pack had to be left on for 30 minutes. Oh and not to forget an amazing shoulder massage with the Hair spa was to die for!

In the end I was exhilarated that SO much of goodness has gone into my hair today. EVERYTHING WAS SO PURE!

Facial at Nirmal Herbals:

OK so after a relaxing hair spa and almost half asleep 😛 I was taken to another room for a facial. This was a SPA room and had a bed (Just what I needed). I was asked to lie down and the assistant came and applied an uptan on my face for cleansing. This uptan is made by the doctor herself which comprises of dals (lentils), turmeric, besan and other herbs. A thick layer was applied and wiped off in about 5 minutes.

Then came a super nourishing and a RICH layer of pure Almond paste. After 5 minutes Wheat grass paste was applied on top of Almond paste. A wheat grass compress was also kept on my eyes. I was in TRANCE! 😀

Later after about 15 minutes she wiped off the mask and massaged my skin with a mixture of coconut milk, saffron and moisturizer all made by the doctor. The massage was really soft and smooth I almost fell asleep because of the ultimate bliss that I was feeling. After the massage a Saffron and Sandalwood pack was applied all over my face and neck. Grated cucumber were kept on my eyes and they left me by myself for 20 minutes 🙂

Then she came and wiped off the mask and took me near the basin to wash my face. GUESS WHAT? They made me wash my face with pure milk and then sprayed fresh rose water. My skin felt soooo smooth and soft. I was totally rejuvenated.

Mini Pedicure:

While my facial was on, another assistant came and gave me a relaxing leg massage with nourishing oil mix. Then a pack of saffron, rose and haldi (turmeric) was applied to my legs. After that pure Almond paste was applied on top of the saffron pack. Kept for 15 minutes and was washed off with a sponge soaked in milk and rose petals!! (Pure Royal feeling). My legs looked brighter and felt really smooth. In fact it feels great right now also 😀

Hair Wash:

After all of the above; my hair were washed with an ALL NATURAL shampoo made by Dr. Nirmala Shetty. Yes it is sold at her clinics as well! and a paste of aloe vera gel was applied as a finishing conditioner. There is no dryer used; but I was glad because I anyway don’t like using hair dryers. After my hair were dried they felt great!

Doctor was so sweet she even gave me her Kesar Face pack and her hair oil as a maintenance routine from her various other products that she gives as a part of her treatment. I was thrilled to get the goodies and started using the face pack the very next day. Review will be up soon.
