  • Another reason for dark knees and elbows is built up of dead skin cells. When you neglect that area, dead skin gets build up and looks dark. So ALWAYS exfoliate (MILDLY) your whole body at least once a week. (Simple powdered sugar with honey and water will also do πŸ™‚ )

So let me give you some good remedies for dark knees and elbows:

  • The most tried and tested remedy for dark knees and elbows is lemon. Just cut a lemon in half and rub it completely on your knees and elbows. Rub for a good 15 minutes and then wash it off after another 15 minutes. Do this twice a week till you see the difference. Mixing some turmeric will also hep πŸ™‚

Caution: If you have cuts and bruises take care since it will sting a LOT!

  • Another really cheap remedy is using baking soda and milk. Make a paste and rub it VERY MILDLY for 10 minutes ans wash it off after another 10 minutes. Be very soft here πŸ™‚

  • Lastly, if you are allergic to the above two, then a mixture of gram flour with turmeric and yogurt will help as well. Rub it in for 15 minutes and wash it off after another 15 minutes.

NOTE: Whichever remedy you use, ALWAYS moisturize your skin well after the wash.
