Nalpamaradi Thailam Skin Brightening Treatment - Kama Ayurveda

Kama Ayurveda have always made me inquisitive about them, but I had never purchased anything from them. Until 2 months ago I decided to try Kama Ayurveda Nalpamaradi Oil and Aloevera Water as my first buy.

Kama Ayurveda has come up beautifully as an Ayurvedic skin care brand. I am yet to get my hands on their much raved about ‘Kumkumadi Tailam’, which I intend to buy this year. However, after using their Nalpamaradi Thailam for 2 months (on and off) here is my review for the same.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH KAMA AYURVEDA NALPAMARADI THAILAM - SKIN BRIGHTENING:

Well I had pre-decided to buy this oil when I entered the Kama store, though the SA was trying to also sell Kumkumadi with this, but I knew I had to try products one by one. I obviously started using the night I bought this. 😀 I had actually purchased this to reduce the tan on my hands and make them a little brighter. I had not thought of using it on my face at all, but eventually gave in to the temptation and used this on my face thrice a week. I started religiously and continued it for a month, but did not see any results at all. No change what so ever.

My husband HATES the smell so much that I was not allowed to go near him and maintain minimum distance around his periphery 😛 Not that I was bothered because I was focusing on experimenting with the product and was waiting for the results. Now, I know natural products take time, but I kinda lost patience and gave up using this for sometime. However, I picked it up again, and this time around I started feeling that my hands looked even toned and glowing! I was SO happy to see that. Now I am again hooked onto this and again not allowed near my man! LOL.

Packaging: This comes in a sturdy simple plastic bottle, and you have a good control over the amount of product you can remove. It is also travel friendly and did not leak when I took it with me on my travels.

Texture: Well, its an oil after all so it had to be sticky. But it gets absorbed faster and does not leave a sticky feeling behind.

Fragrance: Well I already described it in the best way possible! It does not smell good. But honestly, I do not get bothered by it.

Also, take necessary precautions as this oil stains a lot! It literally leaves a yellow tinge behind. So if you are using it at night, ensure it is absorbed well before you sleep so it doesn’t stain your bed covers.

I have not used it on my face enough to comment, but yes it did not break me out and fared well as an oil massage. I only use it on my hands at night and then sleep.

PRO’S of Kama Ayurveda Nalpamaradi Thailam:

  • 100% Natural (the smell says it all)
  • It does lighten your tan
  • Moisturizes skin really well
  • Gets absorbed fast
  • Good quantity for the price, since it goes a long way
  • Easy to carry around
  • Did not break me out

CON’S of Kama Ayurveda Nalpamaradi Thailam:

  • Smell !!
  • Works VERY slow (Which is ok actually!)

Will I recommended this oil?

Well why not! its definitely worth trying if you wish to reduce tan and are looking for some glow. But yes you will need to give it 2-3 months at least to see slight results.

Have your tried this earlier? What was your experience like?
