I am now entering my dirty thirty in a few months! I have been very careful about my skin since I was 25ish.. but anti-aging has been in my skin care routine since 3 years now. I do intend to carry this routine and only add more anti-aging products as I grow ๐ ๐ My mom has aged so gracefully so I hope I do get her genes as well but here are a few things that you must follow to slow down aging process. Let me first start with the most common question:
When do I start with anti-aging care?
Well, I believe that as soon as you turn 23, you must start with anti-aging care. When I say anti-aging care, I mean use ingredients in your DIY masks that focus on skin renewal and slows down the aging process (Example: watermelon, pineapple,, banana, papaya, coconut milk). I donโt mean you start with heavy duty creams and retinol. Yes, a good Vitamin C cream is always a great choice and also, applying sunscreen 2-3 times a day is wise. As you age further you can add more products in the form of serums and treatment creams in your skin care routine.

5 Ways To Slow Down Aging:
1. EAT RIGHT FOODS:
I always keep stressing in all my posts that ‘You are what you eatโ. While one cannot live in a strict diet life every single day, itโs important to keep a check on your lifestyle. One secret trick is to eat 1 whole carrot, banana, tomato and 2 slices (Thin) of beetroot every day! I follow this and now its become a part of my day. Itโs easy when you fix up on a few veggies and stick to it. Take your vitamin supplements like Vitamin C, E, B12 all that you need only on doctors prescription and take it regularly.
2. H2O and more!
Water changes how your skin feels! Seriously it does. So please drink 3-4 litres of water every single day. Adding coconut water to your daily routine is also a great idea. I have this coconut guy who comes to my office and delivers fresh coconut water every day. I love it and it has kept my hair and skin in check ๐ Avoid alcohol as much as you can, it is a given, that alcohol is bad for your hair and skin; but I can understand not everyone can refrain (I canโt, lol) so when you know you are going to enjoy a glass of wine, ensure you drink more water and compensate for the lost moisture.
3. SKIN CARE ROUTINE:
Stick to a proper twice a day skin care routine. If you donโt like layering too much in the morning, go for only a sunscreen with moisturizer. At night you can elaborate your routine. One thing I would like to mention here is that, do not restrict your self from using a facial mask only once a week. Use it thrice a week and treat your skin with love and care.
4. HAIR CARE:
The way treat your mane also helps you maintain your skin. If you have dandruff you will be prone to breakouts. Hence ensue you follow a proper hair care regimen as well.
5. USE OF OILS:
I had recently done a post on ‘FACIAL OILS‘ I totally swear by it now. Oils that work magic on aging are grape seed oil, pomegranate oil, Rose hip seed oil, argan oil and pure almond oil work wonder on aging skin. They make your skin soft and plump in no time!
6. EXERCISE:
Ensure you are a part of any physical activity at least thrice a week. This will pump up your blood and lead to glowing skin and slow down your aging process.
