Happy Tuesday!
Since the festivities are coming up, let’s prep our skin for the wonderful times. This luxurious face pack made of dry fruits will leave your skin Oh! so soft and will help you put your best face forward 🙂
Dry Fruits are an expensive affair so this Face Pack would also make a GREAT seasonal gift for your loved one’s. So time to flaunt your DIY skills and make cute gift packets
Let’s jump to the DIY dry fruits Face Pack recipe
Things required:
- 10-15 Cashew nuts
- 10-15 Almonds (soaked, peeled and dried)
- 10-15 Pistachios (unsalted)
- 6-10 - Saffron Strands
- Milk or Yogurt
Procedure for Dry Fruits Face Pack:
- Soak almonds in water over night and peel them
- Let them dry in the sun for a day
- Next day, mix the almonds, Cashew Nuts and Pistachios in a blender and powder it
- Your powder might look a little sticky here, but worry not as it will dry out later (This also depends on the type/quality of your dry fruit, so if it still remains little oily; do not worry, the efficacy of the face pack will not change )
- Add the saffron strands and give it a last and final blend (This step is only if you wish to gift this Face Pack to someone)
- Store this Face Pack in a tight container and refrigerate it
Note: You can even grate all the dry fruits into powder form. For this you do not need to soak and peel almonds. This is easier! I have tried both and the results are just same. Its just that if you want to make this in quantity then grating can be a long procedure.
How to Use this Dry Fruits Face Pack
- If you have added the saffron strands, just add milk in it and let it sit for 30 minutes (This is to reap the maximum benefits of saffron)
- If you have not added saffron, then add saffron strands in the milk and mix it with the powder
- Apply generously, and let it stay for 30-40 minutes
- Later wash it off, with warm water while scrubbing your face lightly
- Splash cold water in the end and moisturize
Benefits of the Dry Fruits in Face Pack:
Almonds for Skin:
The king of dry fruits is known to have lot’s of fiber and protein. While eating will give you the maximum benefits (I’m munching on Almonds right now ), applying will make your skin radiant. Almonds have high content of Vitamin E as well, which imparts glow to your skin.
Cashew Nuts:
Cashew Nuts are used a lot in the cosmetic industry. They are great at fighting tan and protects skin making it soft and smooth.
Pistachios:
This is a wonder dry fruit! Pistachios are rich in vitamin E that keeps your skin protected from UV rays and premature aging. They are also high in antioxidants which neutralizes free radicals thus rightly called as anti-aging ingredient.
Bonus Tip:
- You can also add walnuts to it
- Date (Khajoor) water can also be added to increase the anti-aging effect
- If you are allergic to Milk, you can add yogurt to it ( I have used yogurt in this, I keep alternating milk and yogurt)
Keep using this wonderful face pack, to reap the maximum benefits of dry fruits.
Happy Festive Beginnings!
