vlcc neem and chamomile

VLCC is an old brand but I personally have hardly tried their products. This time I was in a mood to take a break from my regular cleanser and try a different one. I came across the VLCC kiosk and got tempted seeing their wide range of products. They all look so good and you would feel like buying them all! Since it’s summer I chose their Neem face wash which has chamomile to sooth and tea tree to fight summer boils.

Product Description:

  • The VLCC NeemΒ face wash lathers well while washing
  • Deeply cleans your skin and removes makeup, excess oil and dirt
  • Little goes long way, a pea size amount is more than enough for thorough wash
  • Leaves you with a cool effect and refreshed feel

Price: INR 95 for 100ml

When I first tried this face wash, I had foundation on my skin. So when I used this to wash my face; my intention was to check if it removes the make up well. Yes! It did its job pretty well.

My skin was left clean and no dryness at all. Usually Neem face washes leaves my skin dry; I was happy this one didn’t. I was disappointed when I read that the ingredient list contains sulfates but was also surprised that the face wash was not harsh; I understand that is because of the presence of Chamomile which is soothing to the skin. But again, I think with the presence of Neem and tea tree; sulfates could totally have been skipped. Though for summers, sulfates cannot do that much harm to your skin πŸ™‚

After a very very long time I am using a face wash with sulfates and I am happy to see it does not dry out or cause any kind of irritation to my skin. This clearly means that VLCC is a very well formulated face wash.

It has a gel like consistency and smells so refreshing, that you would want to use it, just to lift your mood up.

Summing up!

Pro’s of VLCC Neem face wash:

  • Cleans skin really well
  • Does not dry out the skin
  • Has a mild fresh fragrance
  • Did not break me out
  • Removes make up without leaving any traces behind
  • Worth every single penny spent! (It is so reasonable)

Con’s of VLCC Neem face wash:

  • Not a very impressive ingredient list
